What You Need To Know

Bookings:

Bookings can be made over the phone, in person or online.

 

Confirmation of appointments:

We confirm appointments via an SMS 24 hours prior to your appointment, please confirm via reply. Should you wish to cancel, please provide at least 2 hours notice (phone 9888 1083 or you can leave a message on the voice mail). This will allow another person to take your place. Should you not show or provide sufficient notice, you may be charged a no-show/cancellation fee.

 

Results:

We always encourage all test results to be discussed with the ordering GP. We will often send updates and information about appointments related to your test results via SMS. 


Repeat script and repeat referrals:

As an added service we offer easy access to your scripts and referrals, currently these can be ordered via the reception (02 9888 1083), the online requests are coming soon.


Fees:

East Ryde Doctors is a private practice and the GPs price their consults in line with the AMA guidelines. Fees and charges vary depending on the level of the consult.

As a private billing practice, there will be fees related to your consult and/or consumables with in your consults. This includes telehealth fees, and result appointments.

* The surgery will bill an initial fee, and process the Medicare rebate on your behalf.

There may also be further or varied charges for other items such as:

  • Insurance Medicals

  • Travel Vaccinations

If you are unsure about any potential charges, please speak to the receptionist when making an appointment or the doctor during your consultation.

If there is financial difficulty, please remember to discuss this with the doctor during your appointment.

Please settle all accounts on the day of your visit, if you require an account please pay with in 14 days to avoid a late fee. We accept Mastercard, Visa, and EFTPOS (We do not accept cheques, for security reasons we prefer not to accept cash).

We’re open 6 days a week;

Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm

Saturday 9am - 11am.

Sunday & Public Holiday Closed.

 

Telehealth:

Telehealth is usually reserved for Results, Medicare have strict rules regarding eligibility for phone consults (i.e. you must have been seen within a 12 month period). Fees are associated with Telehealth consults (this also includes some result phone calls).

Same day appointment availability:

If you need to be seen on the day, and can’t see an appointment online, please phone our friendly reception team who will triage your situation and book you in if appropriate. ​​
