The team at East Ryde Doctors are proud to provide support to the General Practitioners that are located with in the health facility.  Understanding acute medical conditions require prompt and effective care.

Appointments

The GPs located at East Ryde Doctors consult via appointment only.

If you or someone in your care is experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call an ambulance on 000.

The doctors can provide low-level emergency and urgent triage care. Assisting with non-life-threatening injuries such as minor burns, cuts, or simple fractures. If you require urgent attention while at the clinic, please inform Reception immediately.

⚠️ Important: We are not a hospital emergency department. For life-threatening situations, please call 000 or attend your nearest emergency department without delay.

Examples of Acute Care Services?

Infections: Diagnosis and treatment of bacterial, viral, and fungal infections

Injuries: Management of minor injuries including cuts, burns, sprains, and fractures

Respiratory Issues: Treatment for conditions such as asthma attacks, bronchitis, and pneumonia

 

Gastrointestinal Problems: Care for acute issues like gastroenteritis, food poisoning, and abdominal pain

Pain Management: Addressing acute pain from various causes including headaches, back pain, and other musculoskeletal issues

Fever Management: Identifying and treating the underlying causes of fever

Skin Conditions: Treatment for acute skin conditions such as rashes, infections, and allergic reactions

When to call an ambulance?

If you or someone in your care is experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call an ambulance on 000.

You should call triple zero (000) if you or another person is injured or needs urgent medical help, such as:

  • chest pain or chest tightness

  • a sudden onset of weakness of the face, arm or leg or trouble speaking (these could be signs of a stroke)

  • breathing problems

  • a sudden collapse, or unexplained fall

  • a seizure

  • uncontrollable bleeding

  • severe burns

  • fallen from a great height

  • an injury from a major car accident

  • been physically assaulted, including stabbing or shooting
