About Dr Ingrid Schwarzer

Dr Ingrid Schwarzer has been seeing patients in the East Ryde community since 1992.

 

Dr Ingrid Schwarzer studied medicine at the University of Sydney, and subsequently trained at Royal Newcastle Hospital and St George Hospital, followed by The Sydney Children’s Hospital where she achieved a Diploma of Paediatrics.

 

Over the subsequent 18 months, Ingrid with her husband Tim, travelled in Europe with intermittent stints working as a paediatric registrar in London.

 

Dr Schwarzer trained at various practices before consulting at East Ryde. She subsequently attained her Fellowship of the Royal College of GPs.

 

Dr Schwarzer’s interests are in General Medicine, Women’s Health, Preventative Care and Paediatrics. She is particularly interested in optimising physical and mental wellbeing as an integral part of healthy aging.

 

Dr Schwarzer worked as a tutor in Medicine at the University of Notre Dame, and had students attending the practice and observing consultations.

 

After hours, Ingrid enjoys family time, dog sports with her Lagotto, Tosca, keeping fit, and travelling. Ingrid is a fluent French speaker.
