What is MyMedicare?

MyMedicare is a free, voluntary program that lets you register with your regular GP and practice. It strengthens the relationship between you and your healthcare team, helping ensure more consistent and coordinated care.

Why register? What are the Benefits?

Research shows that regularly seeing the same GP leads to better health outcomes. By registering with MyMedicare, you can benefit from:

1. Longer Medicare-funded Telehealth appointments with your GP.

2. Better continuity of care with your chosen practice.

3. Additional support for certain groups, including children, pensioners, and concession card holders

4. Easier access to chronic health condition plans (that allow 5 rebate visits to Allied Health Providers).

Who can register?

You’re eligible if you have a:

• and have visited the same practice in the past 24 months.

  
  

How to register:

1. Through your account on myGov > Services > Medicare > MyMedicare

2. By asking your GP or practice to register you or send you the form

3. By completing a registration form at your practice

Important things to know:

✅ Registration is completely free and voluntary

✅ You can still visit other doctors if needed

✅ You can change your GP or practice at any time

✅ You can withdraw from the program whenever you choose
